Improv community
I started an improv community in my home town a few years ago.
It’s called Here & Now People and it has been such a joy to make new friends and to see people learn, grow and laugh together.
We have an improv drop-in class every Wednesday in Woodbridge, Suffolk and if you’re interested you can try a free taster session or join the wait list for the next beginners course.
Improv is a form of radical cooperation that plays at the edges of our culture and conditioning, and I use it to create learning experiences for leaders and teams in the workplace.
"A laugh is the shortest distance between two people."
Classes, guest teachers and shows
I run a weekly improv drop-in class on Wednesday nights in Woodbridge where people can lean into self-expression in a creative and playful way.
We have some brilliant guest teachers for the drop-in and weekend workshops including: Katy Schutte, Chris Mead, Ed Fargher, Heather Urquhart, Chris Read and Danny O’ Hara.
We explore emotionally connected improv, and I find there’s a sweet spot for spontaneity that’s joyful, playful and mindful.
We also put on improv comedy shows in and around Ipswich in Suffolk and you can see what’s on at Here & Now People.
What people say...
Improv for the Spirit
Bringing laughter and liberation to workshops, festivals and retreats.
Improvisers have a desire to be fully present for whatever life brings, and this connects with the teachings of many wisdom traditions.
I enjoy exploring this connection at workshops and retreats to help people live their lives with more courage, creativity, and freedom.
I’ve run workshops on Being Here & Now, Improvising with Nature with Katy Schutte, and
If you’d like to explore with me just drop me a line.
Being overserious gets in the way of personal freedom. This workshop explores a laughter-filled and courageous path to spiritual awakening.
Playful mindfulness is a ‘skillful means’ from the lighter side of life. Let’s use it to relax, connect and be deeply present in the here and now.
