What I'm doing now

(Inspired by Derek Sivers)

creative facilitator \ workshops

I’m preparing to facilitate an away day with 100 people for a mental health charity. I’m so pleased that it will be a co-creative session using biomimicry and some fun stuff to help people connect.

I’m also preparing for a workshop on Innovative Thinking which will draw on critical, creative and collaborative thinking to help a group reimagine their strategy for the next couple of years.

Last week I saw a presentation of the findings from some focus groups I ran with Dr Laura Reeves on the topic of Managerial belonging. It was lovely to see how the data is being turned into practical recommendations.

trainer \ Here & Now People

I’m running a deep dive into Creative Facilitation for a group of academics over a couple of weeks. I’ll be following it up with some mentoring so it’s a very satisfying project for me.

I’ll also be running sessions on Know Your Audience, and Developing a Strategy for an innovation cohort in the NHS. I’m also working on a new learning offering using improv and biomimicry with Katy Schutte and Belina Raffy.

performer \ improvisation

I’m so happy that I got to perform in Germany and Nottingham in the summer with some of the UK’s top improvisers. Our performances still make me smile so they are on my Now list! My next show with my local improv group Here & Now People is in Ipswich at The Dove Street Inn on 14 Nov. It’s an improv comedy night in the back room of the pub. You can get tickets here.

writer \ articles & newsletter

I send out a newsletter every month (or so) for my improv classes, workshops and shows. You can sign up for it here if you like 🙂 I also do a newsletter about  my work in facilitation, training and speaking with news and details of upcoming workshops and events. The sign up for that is at the bottom of this page.

human \ into the woods

I’m lucky to live by an ancient woodland in Suffolk (the only one in East Anglia) and it has gnarly ancient oaks and giant holly trees. I often stop there for a walk among the trees, to practice qi gong or listen to the Waking Up app.
