What I'm doing now

(Inspired by Derek Sivers)

creative facilitator \ workshops

I’m running an away day for 150 people in October and I’m so pleased that it will be a really creative session with a biomimicry activity along with lots of stuff to get people connecting with each other. I’ve also got some sessions on strategy, knowing your audience and innovative thinking coming up.

Last week I saw a presentation of the findings from some focus groups I ran with Dr Laura Reeves on the topic of Managerial belonging and hybrid working. It was lovely to see how the raw data is being turned into recommendations.

trainer \ Here & Now People

I’m excited about some professional development training that I’ll be delivering in the next month. I’ve got some work sharing my approach to Creative Facilitation with a group of academics, and some sessions that will integrate improvisation with innovation and design for the NHS. I’m also working on a new learning offering using improv and biomimicry with Katy Schutte and Belina Raffy.

performer \ improvisation

I’m so happy that I got to perform in Germany and Nottingham a few weeks back with some of the UK’s top improvisers. Our performance still make me smile they are on the Now list! My next show is in Ipswich at The Dove Street Inn. It’s an improv comedy night with few other local players. You can get tickets here.

writer \ articles & newsletter

I send out a newsletter every month for my improv company and training business Here & Now People. You can sign up for it here if you like 🙂 You’ll find details of upcoming classes and shows, and opportunities for CPD using the power of improv.

human \ into the woods

There’s an ancient wood on my way to my studio at Old Jet called ‘Staverton Park’. It’s the only bit of ancient woodland left in Suffolk and has gnarly ancient oaks and giant holly trees. I often stop there for a walk among the trees, practice qi gong or listen to the Waking Up app.
