Creative facilitation
I help people put imagination to work and get results from relationships.
I’ve delivered 100s of workshops, away day, conferences and events for clients including AstraZeneca, Adnams, Mind, Shell, Britten Pears Arts and I enjoy working with universities, charities, councils and community groups.
I also deliver creative facilitation training and run local and online events for unhurried conversations, story circles and authentic relating.
If you’d like to talk about creative facilitation drop me a note.
Change comes with open heart, open mind and open will.

Surprising results
"A rare mix of insight, creativity and humour."
“Alex was a delight to work with and provided a rare mix of insight, creativity and humour, whilst guiding the team through some quite complex discussions.
“The result was a stronger sense of team identity, purpose and core values and the sessions were challenging and fun in equal measure which helped us shift up a gear.”

My approach
I use a variety of activities to bring more adaptability, vitality and creativity to group work.
Over the years I’ve experimented with many ‘serious-yet-fun’ processes that inspire collaborative learning, thinking and action.
A good process is important, but I find that it also helps to expect smart, kind, creative people to show up, and be responsive to what’s happening in the room and
With 25 years in creative and strategic roles, I’m good at helping leaders get clarity on a project and approach it with a renewed sense of purpose and possibility.
I’ll work closely with you to understand your people, goals and context, and the format for delivery. We’ll work through the design process together and take time to reflect on the experience afterwards.
I try to avoid one-to-many presentations and panel discussions in favour of co-creative processes like Open Space and World Cafe. These may seem messy at first, but they are vital for building intelligent networks and fostering collective action.
See my resources page for some examples of the games, activities and processes I use.
