Creative Collaboration

Over the years I’ve noticed that the most memorable moments in workshops aren’t usually the ones I’ve planned.

They’re the moments when people build on each other’s thinking, start to see things differently, and find new ways of acting that weren’t available to any one person at the start.

Big challenges can’t be solved by working harder – but they can be solved by people who are open to creativity, and good at collaborating – that’s why it’s the heart of everything I do.

Creative conversations

For me, creativity has never just been confined to innovation, brainstorming or creative thinking (although done a lot of this over the years).

I see creativity as a much broader human capacity: the ability to notice, connect, imagine, assess and bring something new into being.

So whether you’re shaping strategy, leading change or trying to solve a difficult problem, creativity can show up not just in ideas – but in deeper dialogue, stronger ownership, and better results.

My approach

I’ve spent more than two decades exploring how people learn, create and collaborate together in ways that feel more alive.

That journey has taken me through organisational and leadership development, creative problem-solving, design, improvisational theatre, large group dialogue, and the wisdom of living systems.

Rather than arriving with a fixed approach, I design experiences for workshops, off sites, and longer programmes that invite people to slow down, become more curious, to think critically and creatively to discover what’s possible together.

Every situation and every group is different. So, sometimes those experiences are playful. Sometimes they are reflective. Sometimes they draw on emotional and somatic wisdom. And sometimes they challenge long-held assumptions.

Whatever the approach, my aim is to create the conditions where people can participate more fully and think differently together.

"Alex's style, consideration and emotional intelligence are hugely beneficial for strategy development and team building."
